The University of Iceland is a progressive educational and scientific institution, renowned in the global scientific community for its research. The School of Education is the leading institution in education studies and well-being in Iceland and has an important sociological role regarding the education of teachers, social educators, leisure professionals, sports and health scientists as well as pedagogy and education studies. All academic programs at the School of Education are strongly linked to the workplaces of the professions the school educates, such as schools and other societal institutions. The School of Education is divided into four faculties: the faculty of education and diversity, faculty of education and pedagogy, faculty of health promotion, sport and leisure studies and faculty of subject teacher education. The faculty at the School of Education comes from diverse scholarly and vocational disciplines, providing a truly interdisciplinary training and research in the field of education. As a result, research collaboration is common, both domestically and with researchers and teams in Europe and USA.
- The conference will be held at the School of Education, Stakkahlíð, 105 Reykjavík.
- Conference registration will open in the morning of Tuesday, June 18, and will stay open until the welcome reception at the end of the day. The welcome reception will be held at the conference venue.
- The location of the conference dinner, on Wednesday, June 19, will be announced soon.
Several major hotels are located close by Stakkahlíð, where the School of Education is located. The main University campus is about 25 minutes walking distance from the conference venue, School of Education, Stakkahlíð.

Release of unsold rooms will be on April 10th 2019. After that reservations are on request and rates may have changed. Cancellation policy for the individual delegates are 100% charge if cancelled within 48 hours of arrival, 50% if cancelled 3-7 days prior, but free of charge when cancelled with minimum 8 days advance.
